2009 Forum for the Future – Research Findings

We would like to thank the team at the Door and Hardware Institute for making this year’s expo a great event.  The DHI team went out of their way to not only make sure exhibitors got everything they could out of the event (we were at booth 913, thanks to all who came by!), but they also created some pretty compelling sessions at this year’s Forum for the Future.

Of particular interest to us were the results of the Research Findings from the Industry Survey conducted for the Door Security & Safety Foundation by Indian River Consulting Group (IRCG).

Of one half of the respondents, 76% indicated “Improve Productivity (reduce costs as a percent of sales)” as their #1 priority for the next three years.

Of one third of the remaining respondents, 49% indicated, “Upgrade business technology (business software)” as their number one priority.

The key takeaway from this survey is that a vast majority of DHI Distributors has prioritized efficiency gains as their number one priority.  In addition, many of them have identified software as the key to that efficiency.

Industry Marketplace Sessions

We are currently in session at the DHI Show in the Industry Marketplace event.  These sessions allow us to spend time away from the busy show floor with companies interested in the benefits of contractERP.  Some of the hot topics discuss today include:

  • Detailing Integration with our partners including:  Specworks, AVAWare, PRO-TECH and Software for Hardware
  • Purchasing Non-Standard Material
  • Unassociated Material (material ordered for a job but ultimately not used and placed in a “bone pile”) and how to manage it
  • Centralized Purchasing
  • Costs associated to jobs (freight, etc.) and how to manage
  • AIA Billing

Stay tuned for additional updates from the show!

Depreciation is interesting!

We had a huge turnout for our contractERP and The Economic Stimulus webinar. The CEO of Access IT, Allyn Vineberg (who is also a CPA) discussed how temporary tax depreciation changes made as part of the economic stimulus efforts of the US government coupled with contractERP’s ROI create an incredibly enticing time to invest in contractERP.

We’ve recorded the entire presentation and placed it online for you to take a look at.

You will mostly certainly find it informative!

The Economic Recovery and contractERP

We have an interesting webinar coming up…

The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed into law on February 17, 2009 and extended tax provisions for the depreciation of assets under Section 179 of the US Tax Code. This applies to both software and hardware purchases in 2009.

These asset depreciation options coupled with financing from Microsoft & Access IT, have created an amazing opportunity to make a software purchase like contractERP even more advantageous. Not only will your company take advantage of the profit and efficiency gains contractERP provides, but the tax savings available can help offset a significant amount of the contractERP Investment!

Join us for a webinar hosted by Allyn Vineberg, CEO of Access IT and a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Vineberg will show you how the government stimulus efforts have made 2009 the right year to invest in contractERP!
